How much experience does our firm have?
Fellers, Schewe, Scott & Roberts, Inc. was established in 1990. We currently have 10 consultants, 8 with over 18 years of tax consulting experience.
What sets our services apart from our competition?
With most properties worked by partners, we are heavily vested in our clients' results. Not only do we provide property tax appeal, we provide property tax management. All of our clients receive quarterly status reports.
What is our fee for property tax consulting?
We have a wide range of fee structures but typically prefer to review a property before offering a proposal. Please contact us for more information.
How are "tax savings" computed?
Tax savings shall be based on the difference between the proposed current year assessment, and the final current year assessment, calculated at the current year's tax rate.
What do we need from you?
To do our best, we may need a few things from you. This might include forwarding any correspondence you receive from the Tax Commissioners or Tax Appraisers offices like a property tax bill or assessment notice. If your property is income producing, we will need rent rolls and year-end operating statements. Before we begin working a property, we must have the correct parcel number(s) for verification.
Along with our agreement, we will need an executed letter of authorization. This will allow us to represent you at the county level. We will need updated authorization letters for each tax year we represent you.
Will you have to attend the formal hearing?
No, you will not be required to attend. We will represent you.
Will you get a refund?
You will only get a refund if a value reduction is obtained after your taxes are paid. This also depends on the amount paid in taxes because each case varies.
